Many small everyday helpers – cup holders, gripping aids, adapters – either cannot be bought at all or only at absurd prices. With a 3D printer, nurses and family carers make them themselves: an exact fit, cheap, and ready straight away.

  1. Use existing templates

    Thousands of tested templates for nursing assistive devices are freely available online – download, adapt, print.

  2. Buy your own printer

    Usable machines start at around €200. We advise on which model is worth buying to get started and how to run it safely in a provider organisation.

  3. Build partnerships

    No printer of your own needed: schools, makerspaces and universities are glad to print for you – we help set up partnerships like these.
